OOTDs: Snow and Yellow

Sorry I’ve been so idle. I’m still battling being sick of the cold and organising my finances to visit 4 countries this year, but I’ve managed to pull together some OOTDs.

Yellow Jeans
Everything: Ebay

Not pictured: the layers of leggings and shirts I have on underneath.

Yes, I’m wearing yellow jeans. As I can’t really explain why I like the aesthetic of what I do, I think a lot of it is inspired by 80s fashion, and for some unpopular reason, I like yellow a lot. Do you have anything in your wardrobe that’s a little bit unexpected or surprising?

Boots: Ebay
Doggo: Mine!

Even though I absolutely love the snow, I was so caught between being happy and being angry that it snowed in late March. However, I did get a nice outfit together for once in a long time. I spent most of the day cuddling inside and writing, which I’ve been doing a lot of recently.

How is everyone else doing? Have you been having a good year? I’d like to hear about how y’all are doing!

The Renn Fest Outfits

Like every year, I went to the Renn Fest a few times and of course I take the opportunity to wear clothing I otherwise wouldn’t wear as much. This year, I got a bodice that I’m debating wearing out normally, but of course it was perfect for the faire and since it’s reversible, I got to wear it two ways:

Bodice by Dungeon Duds n Jewels
Bodice by Dungeon Duds n Jewels
Bodice: Dungeon Duds n Jewels
Skirt: Rose Mortem
Shoes: Forever 21

I love this bodice, a lot. I love peacock prints and the colours in this are so lovely and add a lot of beautiful colour and texture – this print got a lot of compliments. I paired it with one of my favourite skirts and the new shoes I absolutely love, and this outfit is definitely one of my favourites. The bodice is, well, a bodice, so I’m not sure I’d be so comfortable wearing it out to an everyday event but I definitely hope this isn’t the last of my peacock bodice.

Underskirt: Skeletons in the Closet
Shoes: Funtasma

Naturally, the other side of my bodice is all black with a dragon print. What can I say? I built this outfit from the bottom, using one of my favourite skirts by Corvus Corone Fashion and pairing it with a mesh skirt I got to add some interest. I love how it came out and would definitely pair the skirts together again, though I love them both on their own as well. This winter, I’m going to try to wear my heavier skirts more often and I hope that’s a promise I can keep to myself.

I leave for Peru this week so I won’t be around to blog but I hope everyone is having a great week and is starting to get into a festive mood, whether it be from that awfully commercial holiday next month or just because November is a beautiful time of year. Until next time!

OOTDs: Mesh and Lace

The good news, for me, is that I’m now going on 3 more vacations that I have reservations for and I still have a few more places I can squeeze in on my list. The bad news, for me and you, is that I spent all my money on travel so new lipsticks are absolutely out of the question and I’ll have to wait for Christmas to buy anything new. C’est la vie. However I am quite excited about some future posts, such as my travels and some OOTDs for when I actually have some free time.

Anyway, here are some looks from this past week that I was really loving:

I was so excited to get this top because it’s so different from a lot of things in my wardrobe, but still cute. I decided to have some fun with this outfit and added some high heels and braids to complement the creepy-cute look. I’m so happy with this outfit and it was definitely one of my favourites.

Vintage Dress
Dress: Vintage
Shoes: Forever 21
Necklace: Dracula Clothing

I’ve been waiting for months to wear this beautiful vintage dress I got and it was finally cool enough to wear it! I just love the brocade with the buttons, and this is definitely one of my favourite vintage finds ever. I paired it with some cute boots I recently got at Forever 21 and one of my favourite necklaces by Dracula Clothing. I didn’t intend for my lipstick to be so dark (it looks purple in these pictures) but I’m so happy I got this dress and can’t wait to wear it again.

I’ve been very busy so I can’t promise a post next week but I certainly will try. Until then!
