The Renn Fest Outfits

Like every year, I went to the Renn Fest a few times and of course I take the opportunity to wear clothing I otherwise wouldn’t wear as much. This year, I got a bodice that I’m debating wearing out normally, but of course it was perfect for the faire and since it’s reversible, I got to wear it two ways:

Bodice by Dungeon Duds n Jewels
Bodice by Dungeon Duds n Jewels
Bodice: Dungeon Duds n Jewels
Skirt: Rose Mortem
Shoes: Forever 21

I love this bodice, a lot. I love peacock prints and the colours in this are so lovely and add a lot of beautiful colour and texture – this print got a lot of compliments. I paired it with one of my favourite skirts and the new shoes I absolutely love, and this outfit is definitely one of my favourites. The bodice is, well, a bodice, so I’m not sure I’d be so comfortable wearing it out to an everyday event but I definitely hope this isn’t the last of my peacock bodice.

Skirt by Corvus Corone Fashion
Bodice: Dungeon Duds n Jewels
Overskirt: Corvus Corone Fashion
Underskirt: Skeletons in the Closet
Shoes: Funtasma

Naturally, the other side of my bodice is all black with a dragon print. What can I say? I built this outfit from the bottom, using one of my favourite skirts by Corvus Corone Fashion and pairing it with a mesh skirt I got to add some interest. I love how it came out and would definitely pair the skirts together again, though I love them both on their own as well. This winter, I’m going to try to wear my heavier skirts more often and I hope that’s a promise I can keep to myself.

I leave for Peru this week so I won’t be around to blog but I hope everyone is having a great week and is starting to get into a festive mood, whether it be from that awfully commercial holiday next month or just because November is a beautiful time of year. Until next time!

OOTDs: Mesh and Lace

The good news, for me, is that I’m now going on 3 more vacations that I have reservations for and I still have a few more places I can squeeze in on my list. The bad news, for me and you, is that I spent all my money on travel so new lipsticks are absolutely out of the question and I’ll have to wait for Christmas to buy anything new. C’est la vie. However I am quite excited about some future posts, such as my travels and some OOTDs for when I actually have some free time.

Anyway, here are some looks from this past week that I was really loving:

Shoes: Funtasma

I was so excited to get this top because it’s so different from a lot of things in my wardrobe, but still cute. I decided to have some fun with this outfit and added some high heels and braids to complement the creepy-cute look. I’m so happy with this outfit and it was definitely one of my favourites.

Vintage Dress
Dress: Vintage
Shoes: Forever 21
Necklace: Dracula Clothing

I’ve been waiting for months to wear this beautiful vintage dress I got and it was finally cool enough to wear it! I just love the brocade with the buttons, and this is definitely one of my favourite vintage finds ever. I paired it with some cute boots I recently got at Forever 21 and one of my favourite necklaces by Dracula Clothing. I didn’t intend for my lipstick to be so dark (it looks purple in these pictures) but I’m so happy I got this dress and can’t wait to wear it again.

I’ve been very busy so I can’t promise a post next week but I certainly will try. Until then!

OOTDs: Early February

My life has been a bit slow lately so I don’t really have anything to talk about. I’m a bit behind on my savings right now so I’m not buying anything new until I get to my savings target. Until then, I’m stuck with the same clothes I always have (which is actually quite a lot, even though it never feels like it).

Without any further boring ado, here are some of my latest OOTDs.

Skirt by A. Petersone Fashion
Skull Skirt by A. Petersone Fashion
Top: Vintage
Skirt: A. Petersone Clothing
Shoes: Bettie Page

I loved this outfit. I’ll probably be wearing it again but I was so happy with my new vintage find combined with the centred skull skirt I got. I definitely felt awesome in this outfit, and that’s what fashion is about, am I right?

Bat Outfit
Belt by FlezArt
Dress: Moonmaiden Gothic
Belt: FlezArt
Shoes: Funtasma

Not gonna lie, but sometimes basic outfits are the best because you get to highlight your accessories – in this case, a bat belt I got. I threw together some of my bat jewellery to complete the look but I felt like it was a lot of basic and very little decoration. This look probably would’ve been better with a sleeveless dress.

I hope you all have a lovely Valentine’s day. Until next week!
